Our core educational hub for foundational Jewish knowledge and language:
- Understanding Judaism: Interactive sessions covering Jewish history, lifecycle events, festival observance, and home traditions. Ideal for those looking to refresh their knowledge or embarking on a conversion journey.
- Hebrew Reading: Small-group tuition tailored for total beginners as well as those wishing to build reading confidence and prayerbook fluency ahead of services.
Audacious Jews
A fascinating bi-weekly or monthly seminar series exploring the lives, ideas, and lasting impact of courageous, complex, and controversial Jewish figures throughout history, from biblical patriarchs and 1st-century sages to modern cultural icons like Marc Chagall, Franz Kafka, and Leonard Bernstein.
Wednesdays of Wonder
A midweek learning circle designed to spark curiosity. These informal daytime sessions explore a wide range of topics, from modern ethical dilemmas and contemporary Israeli society to artistic expressions of faith and philosophy over coffee and conversation.
Novel Talmud
Talmudic study with a creative twist. This highly popular, accessible group reads Rabbinic texts alongside historical fiction (such as Maggie Anton’s Rav Hisda’s Daughter). No prior knowledge of Talmud or Hebrew is required, just an appetite for lively discussion and a cup of tea.
Songs and Psalms
An uplifting, musically focused study group diving into the Book of Psalms (Tehillim), liturgical poetry, and Jewish musical heritage. Sessions unpack the historical context, spiritual depth, and poetic beauty of the prayers and melodies that define our worship.
