Death and Bereavement

Funerals are arranged through the Jewish Joint Burial Society (JJBS). Call 020 8989 5252. HPS membership includes JJBS membership.

The JJBS arranges burials, usually at Cheshunt, and cremations, usually at Hoop Lane, Golders Green. Call the synagogue office on 01923 856110 to complete a burial arrangement form. Read the notes for those attending a Jewish funeral.

Evening prayers are conducted as required during the seven-day shiva period in the family home. Prayerbooks and shiva chairs are available from the synagogue office.
